🗓 Day 1 – Entering the Realm of the Orangutans
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at your guesthouse in Bukit Lawang around 9:00 AM. The adventure begins with a scenic walk along the river, a gentle hike through rubber plantations, and into the legendary Gunung Leuser National Park. Here, your Trekking Orangutan Sumatra experience comes alive — with the chance to see orangutans swinging through the canopy or caring for their young. Enjoy fresh fruits, jungle lunch, and settle into your first campsite by a river or waterfall. As night falls, share stories by the campfire before sleeping under the stars.
🌄 Day 2 – Deeper into the Heart of the Jungle
Wake to birdsong and a warm breakfast. Trek deeper into the rainforest for hours of wildlife encounters, from playful macaques to graceful hornbills. Camp by another peaceful riverside or waterfall and enjoy a delicious local dinner before resting — or join a short night trek to meet the jungle’s nocturnal creatures.
🦧 Day 3 – Monkeys, Gibbons & Hidden Trails
Today’s trek is a full jungle immersion, covering 4–6 hours through lush terrain. Spot Thomas Leaf monkeys, gibbons, hornbills, and more. End the day with another riverside camp and an optional night walk.
🚣 Day 4 – The Final Journey & Jungle River Ride
After breakfast, choose between more trekking or a relaxing morning before ending your Trekking Orangutan Sumatra adventure with a traditional tubing ride down the Bohorok River back to Bukit Lawang.

Traveling solo? No problem — it's still possible with an additional fee of €240 per booking.
Prefer something more private?
You can book this trek as a private experience if you're a group of 4, or by simply covering the fare for 4 people.
Please note: For standard bookings, there's a chance you'll be joined by other like-minded travelers, with a maximum group size of 6 people — perfect for keeping the experience personal, yet social.
