ADVENTURE SCHEDULE
🌿 Full-Day Jungle Trek – A True Taste of the Rainforest
Your adventure begins after breakfast, when your guide picks you up at your guesthouse around 9:00 AM.
From there, you’ll follow the path along the riverbank, begin your gentle ascent into the hills, and walk through local rubber plantations on your way to the entrance of the legendary Gunung Leuser National Park.
Once inside the jungle, keep your eyes and ears open — with a bit of luck, you’ll spot the incredible semi-wild Sumatran orangutan swinging through the treetops or gently caring for their young. Some are familiar with human presence, making it a unique opportunity for quiet observation in their natural habitat.
It’s a moment that leaves a lasting mark.
The trek continues deeper into the lush rainforest, where you’ll pause to enjoy a refreshing snack of tropical fruits.
As you climb further, you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views over the Bohorok River valley, with the towering backdrop of the national park stretching out before you — the perfect spot to catch your breath and take in the magic of Sumatra.
After a hearty jungle lunch, the adventure presses on. Explore more of the forest and encounter its fascinating wildlife — from playful Long-tailed and Pig-tailed macaques, to the rare Thomas Leaf monkey, and perhaps even a Monitor lizard crossing your path.
To finish your journey, hop on the “jungle taxi” — a fun and relaxing rafting ride down the Bohorok River, a perfect way to wind down and enjoy the jungle from a new perspective.
You’ll return to Bukit Lawang around 3:00–4:00 PM, with a full heart, tired legs, and a head full of wild, unforgettable memories.
